North West Construction Hub confirms high value framework contractors

North West Construction Hub has confirmed the contractors who have been chosen for its high value framework.

The framework deal is split up into three lots, with projects worth £8 million – £15 million; £15 million – £35 million; and a final lot which is the high value framework that focuses on projects in excess of £35 million.

In the 10 years since it was established, the North West Construction Hub has succeeded in delivering 374 projects for clients totalling more than 100.

Altogether, the worth of these developments is more than £1.8 billion and has benefited a wide range of projects throughout the North West, including Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Cumbria.

The North West Construction Hub was launched in response to a drive by the central government to improve efficiencies within the public sector.

The fact that so many projects have already been delivered suggests a great degree of success already.

And now, a number of well-known construction organisations are celebrating after winning places on the high value framework.

Big names such as Willmott Dixon, Galliford Try and Morgan Sindall have missed out this time; on the flip side, Balfour Beatty, Bouygues, Graham and Vinci have won places on the high value framework.

Joannna Chomeniuk at the North West Construction Hub, is excited at the interesting projects already lined up.

She said: “Congratulations to all the contractors who have been successful in getting onto the third generation of the high value framework.

“Feedback from the assessors was that the calibre of tender responses was excellent, and it is very exciting to see some new names join our existing partners.

“We are very much looking forward to working with everyone to make this new framework even more of a success than previously.

“There are already some interesting projects lined up with clients who have been eagerly waiting this announcement.”
